At Calvary, we believe small groups are key to our experience within the church and the community. We want to meet together for fellowship and also serve the communities around us. For more information about our small groups and fellowship opportunities contact Pastor Elijah. For information about our Latino Fellowship, click here or contact Pastor Edgar.
The Youth of Calvary Baptist Church are a fun and inquisitive bunch. Ranging from middle school to high school to home school, we explore the questions of our faith through fellowship and Bible study. Monthly we do activities like going to Six Flags, ice skating, or just meeting up for lunch. Sometimes we do more serious and spiritually enriching activities like serving meals at a homeless shelter or serving our community in other ways. If you would like to join us, we have Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. Contact Pastor Elijah for more information.
Adult Sunday School is offered each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in Butler Hall for any English speaking adult! Each week’s Bible study connects to the liturgical season, Bible text, and/or current events. Contact Pastor Erica for more information.
Theology on Draft is a safe space gathering where people interested in exploring the tough questions of faith meet weekly over drinks and fellowship. In the past we have studied Christian and non-Christian authors alike including Marcus Borg, Nadia Bolz—Weber, and Ta-Nehisi Coates. We meet every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Butler Hall. Contact Pastor Elijah for more information.
Arise: A Queer Theology Collaborative meets Thursday evening and is an ecumenical group for any LGBTQ identified people. We enjoy occasional movie nights, and we have studied intersectional identities, theology, and Bible. Contact Pastor Erica for more information.
